Strategy in a day
M2.2 Final Master projectÂ
The retail industry is highly driven by daily needs. Research has shown that retailers find it difficult to think about a future strategy outside their daily scope, while maintaining their daily needs. Time, effort and budget play an important role for retailers in developing new and innovative products and services.
My thesis proposes a participatory design approach to structure and co-create the process of building a future strategy for and by retailers. The designed Strategy in a day methodology has been validated by 4 experts in the field of business innovation and/or participatory design. Furthermore, two user tests have been conducted in which the methodology acted as an experimental component. The methodology is well received by both experts as well as participants and proved its business potential.. The methodology provides a creative, interactive and time effective approach which small medium enterprises can use to build a future strategy collaboratively.
